Dubai, UAE – 08 December 2025: The Foreign Exchange and Remittance Group (FERG) hosted its annual Games and Sports Fest 2025, under the theme “Come play, cheer and connect!”, on Sunday at Woodlem Park School in Al Qusais. The event brought together employees from 15 exchange houses, their families and members of the wider community, with more than 500 staff taking part.
The fest offered 10 activities, including football, cricket, basketball, athletics and several other games for both men and women. The programme celebrated employee well-being, encouraged an active lifestyle and created an enjoyable environment that strengthened teamwork and a sense of community.
LM Exchange was named the overall champion of the fest, while also securing the cricket title. Travelex Emirates Exchange won the football competition, and Al Ansari Exchange took first place in basketball. Al Ghurair Exchange excelled in the Throw, Catch and Run event, and participants from various exchange houses delivered impressive performances across the athletics events.
This year’s gathering reinforced FERG’s aim of strengthening connections among professionals across the exchange and remittance sector. Families and children enjoyed a full day of sports, entertainment and social activities, making the fest an inclusive community event. The Games and Sports Fest builds on FERG’s ongoing commitment to community engagement through initiatives such as Soccer Fest and a range of health and sports programmes that encourage well-being, cooperation and social responsibility.
Osama Al Rahma, Chairman of FERG and Head of Business Development at Emirates Investment Bank, said: “The FERG Games and Sports Fest 2025 reflects our commitment to unity and teamwork within the exchange and remittance sector. We were pleased to see the high level of participation and enthusiasm from employees and their families. The event concluded with an awards ceremony recognising the winning teams and standout performers.
